Dr. Karen Wesson is a Board Certified Dermatologist and Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She has been in private practice on Long Island since 2003. After completing her Bachelor of Science and graduating Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Michigan, Dr. Wesson attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine where she received her medical degree and graduated with special distinction in dermatology and genetic research. While a medical student, she completed an additional year at the NYU Department of Dermatology. Following a year of internship at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Dr. Wesson completed her dermatology residency at Columbia University, St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital in New York City. Dr. Wesson has clinical interest in the diagnosis and treatment of melanoma and other skin cancers. She has trained extensively in cosmetic dermatology procedures including Botox, injectable fillers, and laser surgery.
Dr. Stacey F. Brisman is a Board Certified Dermatologist and Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. After completing her Bachelor of Science and graduating Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Michigan, she went on to Emory University Medical School where she graduated Magna cum Laude and was an elected member of the AOA Medical Honor Society. Dr. Brisman spent a year in Boston, MA as an intern in the Department of Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess before completing her Dermatology residency at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center. She has published several articles in peer-reviewed dermatology journals including the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Dermatologic Surgery and Pediatric Dermatology. Dr. Brisman is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Women's Dermatology Society and the Skin Cancer Foundation.
Dr. Nicole Y. Lee is a Board Certified, Fellowship Trained Dermatologist and Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. After graduating from Georgetown University, Dr. Lee received her Doctorate in Medicine and Master of Public Health at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. She returned to Georgetown University for her internship in Internal Medicine and then completed her residency in Dermatology at the University of Alabama where she served as Chief Resident during her final year. Dr. Lee received advanced fellowship training at the prestigious SkinCare Physicians in Massachusetts where she completed the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery fellowship in cosmetic, laser, and surgical dermatology under the mentorship of internationally recognized leaders in the field. Dr. Lee has presented at both local and national professional meetings, published articles for peer-reviewed journals and has participated in research trials for innovative lasers. She is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Women’s Dermatology Society, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and American Society for Laser Medicine. Dr. Lee focuses her practice on both general and cosmetic dermatology, while placing a strong emphasis on developing a comprehensive approach and treatment plan unique to each individual patient. Dr. Lee specializes in injectables, such as neuromodulators and fillers, all laser procedures for blood vessels and brown spots, laser resurfacing, and surgical treatment of skin cancers.
Meghan Billia, RN
Meghan Billia is a recent graduate of the Molloy College of Nursing. Prior to nursing school and throughout her nursing education, she has worked as a medical assistant in the field of dermatology. Meghan has worked alongside Dr. Wesson for 10 years and has a broad-based understanding of dermatologic conditions and their associated medical and surgical treatments. She is trained and certified in various laser and injectable procedures. Her medical training and experience has allowed her to be an asset in the exam rooms as well as a valuable resource for patients in terms of advice, recommendations, and education.
Our Medi-Spa suite offers a full range of services including facial treatments, laser treatments for hair removal and skin imperfections as well as chemical peels and microdermabrasion. All services are performed by our certified and licensed aestheticians under the supervision of Dr. Karen Wesson.
Loren DePinto received her New York State license in 2009 from Long Island Nail and Skin Care Institute. She is certified in chemical peels, microdermabrasion and various laser procedures. She is trained in skin care treatments and is known for the personal attention and care she gives to each client. She has worked exclusively in dermatology offices where she has gained extensive knowledge of the medical as well as cosmetic aspect of many of the conditions which she treats. She continues to expand her knowledge of skin care by dedicating time to work alongside Dr. Wesson, and has done so since the opening of the practice in 2012. She is committed to helping her clients improve their skin and beautify themselves.
Meaghan Furnari has spent the last ten years as a licensed Medical Aesthetician. She graduated from the AVEDA Institute of New York City in 2004. Prior to joining our staff in September of 2012, Meaghan worked as a lead laser technician for American Laser Centers and Smoothbody Laser Center. Meaghan is committed to the highest level of patient care and offers the latest in facial aesthetic treatments. She educates her clients on product knowledge and customizes a treatment plan for each individual. She is dedicated to each client’s happiness and satisfaction. Meaghan also works side by side as a medical assistant to Dr. Wesson, where she accompanies her in the examination rooms. This experience helps broaden her knowledge of skin disorders and therapy and compliments her ability to choose the correct treatment for each client.
Audrey Molloy received her NYS aesthetic license in 2013 from the Long Island Nail and Skin Institute, and she is currently certified to perform facials, Hydrafacial, microdermabrasion and chemical peels. In addition, Audrey serves the practice as a certified medical-assistant, working alongside Dr. Wesson assisting with medical and cosmetic encounters. This arrangement has enhanced her understanding of the medical and cosmetic balance necessary for total skin care. Along with her excellent aesthetic sense and gentle approach, Audrey is knowledgeable regarding cutting-edge trends and happy to provide an honest assessment and customized treatment plan. Her patients appreciate her genuine enthusiasm while she works to create a personal, customized skin care regimen for each patient.
